The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed concerning the superior quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area daily. The company point produced for intervention encounters a higher influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
